MECHANISM
Two dissimilar electric conductors of specific different materials welded or soldered at one end (Hot junction), an Electro Motive Force (Thermo-Electric) is generated. This ‘EMF’ is proportional to the temprature difference between Reference point and the Measuring point.

Grounded Type

Exposed Type

The thermocouple wires junction is electrically and mechanically insulated from the sheath.
